Rusty Neutered on April 7th, 2010
Rusty was neutered on April 7th, 2010. Sandra took him to Southern California Veterinary hospital in Woodland Hills and got it paid for by Kitten Rescue. Mouse remembers how he paid $260 of his own money to have Tommy neutered, so he was quite appreciative of Sandra’s efforts.
Rusty is still recuperating in a walk in cage in Kat and Mouse’s back yard. At night they bring him in and keep him in a double shelve, Mid West cat cage in their kitchen. Rusty was shaved by the Vet, because his mats were so bad.
Eventually, Rusty will go to Pet Smart and be put up for adoption via Kitten Rescue. Kat and Mouse were at Pet Smart today and saw Sandra there. She said within a couple weeks she will pick Rusty up and show him for adoption.

Tommy Comes Home
After about 4 months since we had Tommy neutered (12/28/2009) and released (1/13/2010), he showed up tonight at our house, just as we were pulling into the driveway. Kat was ecstatic. Several times a week Kat would ask mouse “where’s Tommy?”. Mouse would always answer “around.”
Kat put some wet food out and some cat milk. Tommy always loved the cat milk. He ate some food and didn’t touch the milk. He wandered off into the dark of the night.

Rusty Strikes Out at Fix Nation
Fix Nation wouldn’t neuter little Rusty because they discovered he has a heart murmur. Sandra brought him back to us. She said she will take him tomorrow to a place in Pasadena. We also have 2 reservations at other clinics for tomorrow. This is so stressful on Rusty and Kat.

Rusty: On His Way To Fix Nation
Sandra came by around 10 pm today and picked up Rusty. She will take him to Fix Nation tomorr0w (Monday). What a nice person she is to do that. She will bring Rusty back to us until he de-stinks. Then she will take him to her Pet Smart cat adoption, where hopefully someone nice will take him home.
Earlier today we bumped into Laurie at her Serenity cat adoption at Petco. We talked to her for about 45 minutes about cat stuff. She is really nice too.

Rusty Comes To Visit
Rusty is the gorgeous red, long hair stray male cat that lives in our neighborhood. He is friendly enough that Kat can pet him, but other times he keeps his distance.
We hadn’t seen him for a week or two, and then last night (a Thursday) he was in our backyard. This is highly unusual since we have a cat fence around our property that keeps our cats in and others out.
Kat was able to coax him into the walk in cage in our backyard. We set him up with some cozy throws and a heating pad made for animals. This morning when I checked on him he was on the heating pad. I snapped a picture of him.
